Popular Juju Musician St. Janet
Veteran Nigerian Juju and Highlife musician Iyun Janet Ajilore, popularly known as Saint Janet, has been laid to rest in Abeokuta, Ogun State, weeks after her sudden death.
According to Premium Times, the singer was buried on Wednesday at her residence following funeral activities attended by her children, relatives, colleagues and admirers.
Among those who joined the family to mourn the late musician was veteran Juju singer Gentleman Dele Taiwo, alongside other members of the traditional music community.
Videos from the burial ceremony showed emotional scenes as Saint Janet’s children and other mourners gathered around her remains before she was committed to the earth.
