Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ:NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang has learned that a single sentence from him can move billions in market value, and on Wednesday, he joked about wielding that power over dinner.

“Their Stock Price Doubles the Next Day”

When a Goldman Sachs analyst asked Huang to rank the biggest supply constraints facing the company’s growth, power, memory, and foundry capacity on the company’s second-quarter earnings call, he deflected with a joke instead.

“Last year, one of the funniest things to do is just to go figure out where I go for dinner and who I have dinner with, and their stock price doubled the next day.”

He then pivoted back to a serious answer, saying NVIDIA’s “entire supply chain is challenged” and that the company is “running flat out” to bring more capacity online.
