ALBAWABA - The king of Norway, Harald, 89, was hospitalized in an 'extremely serious' condition, the palace said on Thursday.King Harald was transferred to the hospital on August 17 in Oslo with a blood disease, but his health deteriorated, and he is now in an "extremely serious" condition.Queen Sonja and 53-year-old Crown Prince Haakon have cancelled all royal engagements, the statement released by Norway's palace read.It is worth noting that Crown Prince Haakon is now acting as regent during his father's illness.King Harald is suffering from haemolytic anaemia, a condition caused by an abnormally rapid destruction of red blood cells which leads to fatigue and shortness of breath, AFP reported Thursday."His Majesty the King's health condition is extremely serious," the palace added.
