Africa’s richest person, Aliko Dangote, is preparing to give his vast fortune and business empire a new layer of institutional oversight as his Dubai-based family office ramps up operations in 2027.
The family office, based in Dubai and overseen by his daughter Halima Dangote, is being positioned as an investment hub for the family’s businesses and wealth, with a focus on governance, capital management and philanthropy.
Halima said in a Bloomberg TV interview that the family office is expected to become more visible from the first quarter of 2027 after years of planning.
“By the first quarter of next year, you will start to see the presence of the family office,” Halima said.
The objective is not simply to manage Dangote’s wealth today, but to create a structure capable of preserving the family’s business interests for eight to 10 generations.
