When Mohit Choudhary decided to build a technology school with co-founders Payal and Sourav, they made an unusual choice.
Instead of starting in a metro, where the companies, mentors and internships are, they went to Patna first.
It now operates campuses in Bengaluru and Mangalore with plans to open one in Mumbai next.
The decision was rooted in two ideas: technology education had to be affordable enough to reach students who could not afford to migrate to a metro, and relevant enough to improve their chances of employment.
For Choudhary and his co-founders, the two were inseparable—access to education means little if students cannot turn it into a career.
