ALBAWABA - A motorist deliberately rammed a car into a group of people on Wednesday evening at a bus stop, near the train station in Caen ( Calvados ), French media reported.At least one person was killed, and 10 others were wounded, seven of whom are in serious condition; the remaining three were lightly wounded, according to Le Figaro. The incident took place near the SNCF train station at about 10 p.m. local time.BFMTV reported that an argument occurred in a bar and escalated. According to Le Parisein, the vehicle, a black German car, deliberately rammed into people waiting near a tram stop."The toll is heavy, with one fatality, seven people in critical condition, and three with less serious injuries," the prefect of the ⁠department of Calvados, David Clavière, said on Wednesday. Police noted that the majority of the victims are believed to be foreign nationals, including Afghans, Egyptians, and Bangladeshis.The police said that the driver fled the scene after ramming into people before being arrested by French authorities in Ouistreham, about 20 kilometers away. The man was identified as Ibrahim I., 26 years old and born in Russia. An investigation is underway to determine the motive for the incident.
