The serious business of shaping Nigeria’s gaming future gave way to an evening of conviviality as the third edition of the Enugu Gaming Conference (EGC 2026) climaxed with a colourful Gala and Awards Ceremony.
Held at the end of the two-day conference, themed ‘Code, Capital and Compliance: Unlocking Nigeria’s iGaming Tech Opportunity’, the closing ceremony offered the industry a rare chance to pause from policy debates, regulatory questions and technology conversations to celebrate the people and organisations helping move the sector forward.
From sumptuous meals to highlife classics, contemporary music, cultural performances and rib-cracking comedy, the evening carried all the ingredients of a celebration.
The Black Tops Band provided the musical backdrop with a rich selection of popular old-school highlife tunes, while a hard-hitting DJ kept the younger crowd on their feet with contemporary hits. A cultural troupe added a distinctly Nigerian flavour to the evening with an energetic display of traditional entertainment.
