Will Osula’s foot injury, which will sideline him for at least a fortnight, means Newcastle are short of out-and-out striker options.Jaissle is pushing for further reinforcements and he can now do so having secured his first victory as Newcastle head coach, a rollercoaster 3-2 Carabao Cup triumph over Championship side West Bromwich Albion which has set up a third-round tie at second-tier Millwall. Newcastle were deserved winners, but looked vulnerable defensively again — conceding from a free-kick, almost comically, and a penalty — even if they look dangerous in attack, with Bazoumana Toure scoring on debut and Harvey Barnes bagging a brace off the bench.
