U.S. stock futures rose on Wednesday evening as investors digested fresh tech earnings from Nvidia (NVDA), Salesforce (CRM), and Okta (OKTA). Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), the Nasdaq 100 (NDX), and the S&P 500 Index (SPX) were up 0.35%, 0.96%, and 0.54%, respectively, at 6:11 p.m. EDT on August 26.
Nvidia shares climbed more than 4% after beating Q2 estimates and guiding for strong growth. This could break its recent trend of slipping after earnings, though the stock still fell over 1% during Wednesday’s session. Also, Salesforce rallied 13% on a solid revenue beat, while Okta soared nearly 20% thanks to strong demand tied to agentic AI.
The major indices ended the day mostly flat. The Dow slipped 0.2%, the Nasdaq edged down 0.1%, and the S&P 500 finished slightly in the red.
Traders now turn to the Federal Reserve’s Jackson Hole meeting, which begins Thursday. Also, the market awaits upcoming earnings from Best Buy (BBY), Workday (WDAY), Affirm (AFRM), and Gap (GAP).Disclaimer & DisclosureReport an Issue
