Public registration for the AIA Hyrox Hong Kong 2027 fitness race opens on Thursday at 6pm local time, following a 48-hour affiliate presale that saw local gyms report fierce demand and the selling out of ticket allocations in minutes.The event, scheduled for January 7 to 10 at AsiaWorld-Expo, has been extended to four days to accommodate surging demand.Since debuting locally in 2022, the mass-participation fitness event has drawn almost 20,000 participants to its standard race format combining 1km running segments with functional workout stations.Demand during the 48-hour early access window, for members of Official Hyrox Training Clubs, which opened at 6pm on Tuesday, triggered an immediate rush among gym-goers across the city.At Coastal Fitness in Tin Hau, a 200-ticket presale allocation vanished almost instantly.“The demand during the affiliate presale was extremely strong,” Isabelle Wolfe, general manager at Coastal Fitness, said. “We had 200 available tickets and they all sold out in about 20 minutes.
