Nvidia $NVDA posted record quarterly revenue of $96.2 billion in its second fiscal quarter — more than twice what it earned in the same period last year — but shares still slipped about 2% in after-hours trading Wednesday.
Data center revenue, the segment that houses the AI chips driving most of Nvidia's growth, reached $89 billion for the quarter, up 117% from a year ago. CFO Colette Kress attributed the gain to demand for its Blackwell Ultra infrastructure. GAAP earnings per diluted share came in at $2.46, up 128% year-over-year.
