AST SpaceMobile Inc. (NASDAQ:ASTS) depends on third-party rockets. And after Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:SPCX) or SpaceX, announced structural changes to its launch schedule, investors grew anxious.
The Midland, Texas-based company’s stock price declined on Wednesday, coinciding with a larger market downturn.
Nasdaq is down 0.10% while the S&P 500 has shed 0.10%, and Communication Services is also in the red (down 0.48%), keeping pressure on the group.
SpaceX Shifts Florida Starlink Missions To Starship
In a post on X on Tuesday, SpaceX’s VP of Launch, Kiko Dontchev, confirmed that the launch mission from “pad 40 was the last planned Falcon 9 Starlink launch from Florida.” Dontchev stated that it was “the end of an era” for these missions and confirmed that “Starlink missions out of Florida will fly on Starship.”
