The drug, Rasonque, nearly doubled median overall survival compared with standard chemotherapy in a 500-patient trial

Revolution Medicines received FDA approval on Wednesday for Rasonque (daraxonrasib), a once-daily oral tablet that targets multiple forms of the RAS protein, a key driver of tumor growth in most patients with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
According to the FDA, the drug is indicated for adults with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma who either have already undergone at least one prior systemic treatment or are not suitable candidates for multiagent systemic therapy. The drug does not require a companion diagnostic test and is approved for patients with or without an identified RAS tumor mutation.
