Tani Olohun said Igboho only intervened after the situation had degenerated and some residents had confronted the police officers who came to arrest him.

Controversial advocate of Isese, the indigenous Yoruba faith, Abdulazeez Adegbola, popularly known as Tani Olohun, has clarified that the founder of Iru Ekun security network, Sunday Adeyemo, well known as Sunday Igboho, did not prevent police officers from arresting him in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Tani Olohun said Igboho only intervened after the situation had degenerated and some residents had confronted the police officers who came to arrest him.

He made the clarification in a video message recorded in Yoruba and translated into English by SaharaReporters.

The development followed an earlier attempt by officers from the Kwara State Police Command to arrest Tani Olohun at his residence in Ibadan.
