Jio Financial Services Ltd (JFSL) will roll out two new features on its JioFinance app -- a personal CFO for every Indian, which will offer advisory and actionable recommendations to users, and an exclusive membership program that incentivizes marketplace transactions, said Hitesh Sethia, MD & CEO.The personal CFO is based on a proprietary financial fitness score and will empower every Indian to live a better financial life, he said at the company’s Annual General Meeting.Sethia observed that the exclusive membership program will incentivise marketplace transactions with structured value-back rewards. So the more a customer transacts, the more he will earn back, he added. He emphasised that JFSL’s well-capitalised balance sheet, with total shareholders’ equity standing at ₹1.34 lakh crore as of March 31, 2026, provides it substantial firepower to pursue its growth aspiration and support capital-intensive businesses that are in a growth phase, while nurturing newer ventures in their incubation phase.JFSL is registered with the RBI as an NBFC-Core Investment Company. It operates a full-stack financial services ecosystem through customer-facing subsidiaries, including Jio Credit, Jio Insurance Broking, Jio Payment Solutions, Jio Leasing Services, Jio Finance Platform and Service, and Jio Payments Bank,“I would like to point out here that Jio Financial Services is in a unique position of strength, where even in an early growth phase we do not need to resort to aggressive cash burn for brand-building and customer acquisition.“Even as we continue to invest for growth and nurture businesses across different stages of maturity, we remain profitable, while retaining our core capital base,” Sethia said.To create enduring value for the decades to come, the JFSL chief underscored that his company relies on key structural moats, including brand, capital, cost engineering and zero technology debt, that help fortify and differentiate its franchise.“These structural moats directly power the virtuous flywheel effect we are building across Jio Financial Services. High-frequency engagement in our transaction and banking layers feeds directly into our lending, investment, and protection products,” he said.Published on August 26, 2026
