Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu has directed officials and architects to ensure that the under-construction Legislative Assembly building in Amaravati should be developed as a future-ready, people-friendly institution, combining advanced technology, efficient functioning and world-class facilities.Mr. Ayyanna Patrudu held a high-level meeting with the representatives and engineers of Norman Foster + Partners at the Secretariat on Wednesday to review the proposed design.Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana, Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar and Secretary General to the State Legislature Prasanna Kumar Suryadevara participated in the discussions.The meeting focused on the internal design of the Assembly building, including the chambers, committee halls, offices for elected representatives, media facilities, security systems, parking and visitor movement. Particular attention was paid to the design of a high-rise tower atop the Assembly building, from where the capital Amaravati could be viewed.
