Female Ukrainian reservists marked International Women’s Day by vowing to gun down Russian invaders “like rabid dogs”.
The band of seven heavily armed fighters pledged to avenge every “woman, old person, ruined house, street and even barn” that has been destroyed.
The Territorial Defence, a reservist force within the Ukrainian army, has accepted women into its ranks since its creation in the early 2000s, but since the invasion the number of female fighters has swelled significantly.
