GUWAHATIUnion Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Manipur in the first week of October, Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh said on Wednesday (August 26, 2026).The Chief Minister called on Mr. Shah at his official residence in New Delhi around 3 p.m. to update him on the law and order situation in Manipur.“Amit Shah ji agreed to lay the foundation stone of a medical college in Senapati district and oversee other developmental projects in the State,” the Chief Minister said, adding Mr. Shah had assured him that the Centre would fulfil the aspirations of the people of Manipur.“The Home Minister also lauded the State government for resuming the Imphal-Dimapur-Guwahati bus service and ensuring free movement of all communities on National Highway 2,” Mr. Singh said.Mr. Shah last visited Manipur in April 2024 to campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the Lok Sabha elections.
