Meta plans to launch a consumer AI agent within weeks. It has considered charging up to $199.99 a month for it.
Three months ago it started selling access to its AI chatbot for $7.99 a month. The new product would cost 25 times that.
Meta will launch its consumer version of the OpenClaw AI agent “as soon as the next several weeks”, and is targeting October for a new model called Watermelon, according to internal documents Jyoti Mann reviewed for The Information. The agent is called Hatch inside the company.
What Hatch is meant to do
Meta has trained it to reach services people already use: DoorDash, Etsy, Reddit, Yelp and Microsoft Outlook.
