Nasdaq-listed Octave Intelligence plc on Wednesday (August 26, 2026) opened its global technology and innovation centre, a 2 lakh sq ft facility, in Hyderabad.It will be a key technology and innovation hub for Octave globally with the teams working across software engineering, artificial intelligence, data, cloud, product development and other advanced technology capabilities. The centre will contribute to development of technologies and solutions delivered, by the firm, to customers across the world, particularly in industries where complex assets and infrastructure require real-time intelligence and data-driven decision making, Octave said after inauguration of the facility by Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu in the presence of CEO Mattias Stenberg and others.The company said the Hyderabad facility includes an experience centre, while the Minister said Octave has opened the centre with 1,600 employees and plans to take the number to 2,000 in coming years.Mr. Sridhar Babu said the city is increasingly becoming first choice for global firms to establish their first global capability centres (GCCs) and foray into India because of the engineering talent depth, specialised expertise and stable ecosystem the city offered. Octave’s decision to establish the technology and innovation centre in the city is another strong endorsement of Hyderabad’s diverse and dynamic innovation ecosystems.75 new GCCs last year“We welcomed 75 new GCCs last year and now targeting 100 more by next year. More importantly, in the last two years, the capabilities being built here are becoming increasingly diverse and sophisticated, spanning sectors,” he said.Octave’s global technology and innovation centre in Hyderabad is an exceptional location to continue the company’s next phase of growth, Mr. Stenberg said. Octave came into existence consequent to the 2025 spin-off of Hexagon AB’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence and Safety, Infrastructure and Geospatial divisions.
