Russian attacks damaged a facility belonging to the Gazmerezhi (Gas Distribution Networks) in the Chernihiv region, while a gas worker was also injured in the Kharkiv region.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by Liudmyla Kinder, Head of the Gazmerezhi.

“One of the company’s facilities in the Chernihiv region was damaged as a result of shelling. In the Kharkiv region, an emergency repair crew came under enemy attack. The workers were on their way to respond to a call and contain an accident involving gas infrastructure,” Kinder wrote.

She said that the attack on the crew left a gas technician with shrapnel wounds. He is currently in hospital under medical supervision.

According to Kinder, this is not the first time Russia has targeted gas distribution infrastructure and the people responsible for operating it and restoring it after attacks. Despite this, gas workers continue to contain emergencies, repair damaged networks and maintain gas distribution wherever possible.
