ALBAWABA - Apple is preparing to launch its next generation of iPhones this September, but the iPhone 18 series will see a significant shift in its launch strategy, according to the latest leaks.Reports from the tech website 9to5Mac indicate that the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will be among the fall releases, along with the first foldable iPhone, while the standard iPhone 18 will be delayed until early 2027.According to the report, the iPhone 18 Pro will feature a number of changes this year that will make it significantly different from its predecessor, particularly in terms of camera, design, connectivity, and battery life.Smaller IslandThe changes won't be limited to the back of the phone. According to another report, Apple is working on shrinking the Dynamic Island on Pro models, while also moving some Face ID components to the bottom of the screen.Leaks suggest the Dynamic Island could be reduced in size by about 35%, a change that would give the screen a cleaner appearance compared to current generations.Bigger CamerasOne of the most notable changes revealed by 9to5Mac is a significant upgrade to the main camera. According to a leak from Fixed Focus Digital, the change will result in a thickness of over 2mm in the aluminum alloy back panel, due to the use of a larger main camera module. The cameras may also differ for the first time between the Pro and Pro Max models. A separate 9to5Mac report indicated that two features previously thought to be available on both phones may become exclusive to the Pro Max.New ColorOn the aesthetic front, Apple may add a new color to the Pro phones, described as Dark Cherry or Burgundy—a deep red hue with hints of maroon. If these leaks prove accurate, it would be a significant departure from the traditional colors Apple has offered in its Pro phones. However, these colors remain a detail that is difficult to confirm before the official announcement.Longer Battery LifeLeaks suggest that the combination of a next-generation chip and a more efficient modem will improve battery life, with the iPhone 18 Pro Max potentially benefiting the most.9to5Mac reports that the Pro Max will have a battery approximately 10% larger than its predecessor, making battery life one of the new phone's biggest strengths.
