ALBAWABA - Tributes from Musicians, actors, politicians, and fans flooded social media following the death of the iconic country singer Dolly Parton, who passed away at the age of 80 on August 25. Among those who paid homage to the country icon were big industry names including Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Elton John, Eminem, Paul McCartney, Sabrina Carpenter, and Beyoncé. Moreover, U.S. President Donald Trump also paid tribute to Dolly and announced that American flags across the US will be pulled down in honor of her passing. Miley Cyrus, who is Dolly's goddaughter, took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "I can't believe we just lost the purest soul. Rest in Glory, Dolly. My heart aches." Cyrus had a very close relationship with Dolly, who starred as "Aunt Dolly" in the popular Disney sitcom Hannah Montana and maintained a strong presence throughout the pop singer's music career.
