Israel expelled Dutch representatives from a Gaza coordination centre after the Netherlands announced its decision to ban imports from illegal Israeli settlements in occupied Palestinian territories.
Israeli foreign minister Gideon Saar said in a post on X that the representatives will be "expelled immediately" from the International Support Center for Gaza in Kiryat Gat, and were asked to leave Israel within a week.
Saar said the decision, approved by prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was in response to what he called a "series of anti-Israel moves" by the Dutch government.
"The anti-Israel policy of the Dutch government is accompanied by an unprecedented wave of antisemitism and boycotts in that country," he added.
"Our message is clear: Whoever acts against Israel will have no foothold in the region. Israel will not allow steps against it without a response."
