Chancellor Friedrich Merz said Tuesday that the perpetrators of hybrid attacks against Germany, such as an explosive drone found at an airport, “will pay for them,” without naming a target.
Germany had increasingly “found itself in the crosshairs of hybrid attackers,” Merz said, referring to an incident this month at Leipzig airport, a crucial hub for military transports.
