The Commissioner of Police in Ogun, Bode Ojajuni, commended the officers involved in the operation and said the command would continue its efforts against human trafficking, child trading and other crimes.
The Ogun State Police Command has arrested six suspects after raiding an alleged baby factory in Mowe, Ogun State, where operatives rescued two pregnant women and four children.
The operation took place on Monday, August 24.
The police said the operation was conducted around 8am at Toluwalase Street, Abaren Village, via Gbarinmole, Mowe, following intelligence on alleged human trafficking and illegal adoption activities at the facility.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed the arrests and rescue operation in a statement issued on Tuesday. He identified the rescued pregnant women as 23-year-old Ilesanmi Foluke, who was seven months pregnant, and 20-year-old Ejekwa Melody, who was eight months pregnant.
