ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court will take up on Sept 16 a contempt of court petition filed by Dr Uzma Khan against the government for allegedly violating its Aug 18 directions to transfer incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad.
The same three-member bench, comprising Justice Shahid Waheed, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, which issued the Aug 18 order, will hear the contempt plea filed by Imran’s sister.
On Sept 16, the bench was also scheduled to resume hearing the pending cases concerning the former premier’s health and issues related to family meetings.
However, it is not clear whether the same bench will also take up the review petition filed by the Islamabad chief commissioner, challenging the court’s directions to shift PTI founder Imran Khan to a private hospital.
