Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Carlos Baleba from Manchester United.The Athletic reported last Friday that Baleba was set to undergo a medical with United the following day after they reached an agreement with Brighton for the midfielder, who had already verbally agreed personal terms with his new club. United will pay an initial £65million for Baleba with a potential £5m due in add-ons, while Brighton will retain a sell-on clause.Baleba, 22, is currently out with an ankle ligament injury he sustained during pre-season and missed Brighton’s goalless draw with Tromso in the first leg of their Conference League qualifier on Thursday, as well as their Premier League win over Aston Villa.United explored a deal for Baleba last summer and, though a move did not proceed, continued to track the Cameroon international during the 2025-25 season.
