Ryan Castro began performing as a busker on local bus rides in Colombia 15 years ago, paying his way with tips. But by 2025, the Latin urban star was playing to arena crowds in Los Angeles, Miami and New York as part of his first U.S. solo arena tour, Sendé, named after his album released that May.
The 21-date trek across Europe and North America (with five stops in the United States) was so successful that Castro and his team added a second North American leg, Sendé: The Last Dance, that will play 17 shows this September and October.
“I used to do theaters and clubs of [2,000] to 3,000 people,” Castro, 32, recalls of his first U.S. tour in 2022. Once he started booking arenas stateside, though, he recalls thinking: “Holy crap … I need to take it to other cities. People deserve to keep enjoying it.”
