The Wisconsin company is pulling 2 canned products after receiving complaints; no illnesses or injuries have been reported
Fromm Family Foods announced a voluntary recall of 5,825 cases of canned wet dog food on August 21 due to potential metal contamination. The recall covers two products sold across the United States and Canada.
Two products are included in the recall: 3,852 cases of Fromm Turkey Pâté Wet Dog Food in 12.2-ounce cans, and 1,973 cases of Fromm Diner Classics Milo's Meatloaf Pâté Wet Dog Food in 12.5-ounce cans. Both have a best-by date of March 2029. The Turkey Pâté carries UPC 072705118700 and lot code EP2A3306 551006; the Milo's Meatloaf Pâté carries UPC 072705132324 and lot code EP2A3306 551029.
The Mequon, Wisconsin company said the recall was triggered by consumer complaints of metal contamination, and that it has identified the source of the problem and put corrective measures in place. The company said it has received no reports of illness or injury connected to the affected products.
