GTA 6RockstarAnother day, even more Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks. The leaker known as Cyberleek is back this morning with two new clips, now extending the total leaked footage from a playable build up to around 17 minutes.Today is significant as it marks one week since the GTA 6 leaks began last Tuesday, August 18. Since then, they have turned into a tour of Vice City, showing off everything from gas stations to strip clubs to nudist villages (seriously) to today, the beach and the club. Here’s what’s out there today with the 12th and 13th leaks:GTA 6 protagonist Jason tours the “NineNineNine” nightclub full of dancing, impressive lighting and girls hitting on him. There seems to be some overlap with the strip club to some extent, with some identical-looking lap dances happening in some booths. Jason does not make this a hellish scene by opening fire with a weapon in the club.Next, Jason bikes and walks across a lengthy stretch of beach at the edge of Vice City, passing countless NPCs that are relaxing on chairs, sitting on towels, taking walks with friends or standing in the ocean. Again, no shooting.It’s not that these locations are surprising in the world of GTA 6, it’s what we’re seeing with the NPCs here. The crowd density is intense in both locations, shutting down complaints about some previous footage that it was too sparse. But what I am most impressed by is NPC behavior, particularly on the beach, which feels less like a video game and more a capture of what would actually be going on there. The only thing we’re missing is beach volleyball.GTA 6RockstarAll of this is happening ahead of what is supposed to be a true spoiler leak posted tomorrow with a Lucia prologue. Cyberleeks had its devotees vote in a paid poll as to whether or not such spoilers should be leaked, and “yes” overwhelmingly won. Today’s message from Cyberleek, watermarking their video, is hitting back at accusations of enrichment from these leaks with a meme coin and paid polls. They maintain that this is still about protesting Rockstar’s disc policies and that any funds are going into the cost of this whole leak dump. There is, of course, no way of proving that.Play Puzzles & Games on ForbesAs for the situation surrounding all this:Rockstar and Take-Two have yet to comment publicly on any of this. That is not unexpected, given that it is still ongoing and there is no real benefit to them saying anything at this point, further boosting the profile of leaks.Reporting from Bloomberg a few days ago indicated that the leaker had neither been caught nor had Rockstar figured out how this leak of a game build occurred.Subpoenas were reportedly served to companies such as Microsoft, Discord, and X to identify the leaker, or perhaps those who know their identity. Discord, however, has come out to say that it has not been served a subpoena yet.We are now two days ahead of Rockstar’s grand Netflix reveal of GTA 6 gameplay, which was supposed to be the first gameplay shown before this week-long leak happened. So far, there seems to be no indication that this leak will stop any time soon, given how long it has already lasted.This continues to be one of the wildest leaks in gaming history, not necessarily because of what’s being shown, but because of the profile of GTA 6, likely to be the biggest consumer product launch of all time, and how long this has been going on.
