The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has launched a nationwide legal aid website aimed at providing free legal assistance to its volunteers and supporters.The platform, launched by Ratna Singh, Legal Affairs Head of CJP, allows users to register, describe their legal issue and provide their location. A verified lawyer can then take up the case and connect with the user through the platform.The website also features an emergency option for cases involving arrest or detention. According to CJP, the platform is designed to protect users' privacy. A user's identity remains private until they choose to disclose it, while communication within the platform is encrypted and documents are stored securely.The legal aid service is available in multiple Indian languages and is completely free of charge.The platform also includes an auditable trail to record actions taken on cases.
