Insider Brief
GSA is expanding its role in the federal government’s post-quantum cryptography transition by updating identity systems, access controls and interagency coordination.
The agency is modernizing the FICAM architecture and adding quantum-resistant algorithms to testing for federal building access and credential systems.
A new GSA-led interagency working group, which first met Aug. 12 with 40 participants from 17 agencies, will address identity and access-management issues in the post-quantum environment.
