The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reopened the online application window for the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) from August 25, 2026. Eligible candidates who could not apply during the earlier registration period can now submit their applications until September 1, 2026.Candidates who have already successfully completed and submitted their CTET applications do not need to apply again. CBSE issued the public notice on August 25, citing the Supreme Court's emphasis on giving eligible teachers a reasonable opportunity to fulfil the statutory requirement of acquiring the prescribed Teacher Eligibility Test qualification.CTET 2026 registration deadlineThe reopened application portal will remain available until September 1, 2026. The earlier registration window for the 22nd edition of CTET was open from May 11 to June 10, 2026.The fresh opportunity is intended for eligible candidates who could not complete their applications during the earlier period.
