External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow as India and Russia discussed strengthening bilateral ties, with trade emerging as a key focus. Jaishankar said the two countries should aim for $100 billion in bilateral trade by 2030, while Putin said he looks forward to meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the upcoming SCO summit. Modi is also expected to welcome Putin to India for the BRICS Summit.
