Police are investigating the murder of four people whose burnt bodies were found along the N7.

New information has surfaced indicating that the four victims of the mob justice attack in Du Noon on Sunday, August 23, could have been saved.

Their charred bodies were discovered lying metres apart in an open field near the N7 off-ramp on Malibongwe Drive.

A witness who saw the mob justice attack unfold did their civic duty and dialled 10111 for assistance; however, the operator dropped the call because the witness could not provide an exact location.

Portfolio Committee on Police chairperson and MP Ian Cameron confirmed the member of the public's complaint.
