Reported ROE was 8.4%, compared with 11.6% in the prior year. The decrease in reported results was driven by a charge related to the reduction in goodwill associated with the announced sale of BMO's Transportation and Vendor Finance businesses. Adjusted net income of $2,859 million increased 19% from $2,399 million in the prior year, and adjusted EPS of $3.96 increased 22% from $3.23. Adjusted ROE was 14.0%, compared with 12.0% in the prior year.
