The 22-year-old charged with killing boxing champion Zolani Tete arrived in court on Monday in a wheelchair, wearing a white T-shirt emblazoned with “Capone”, seemingly a nod to notorious gangster Al Capone.
Uzuzole Goqwana appeared in the Mdantsane Magistrate's Court facing charges of murder and attempted murder. His three co-accused are expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
Goqwana wore a khaki jacket over his lap and black trousers.
Capone, written in blue lettering on the shirt, was the name of the notorious Chicago gangster who became one of America’s most infamous organised crime figures in the 1920s.
