Fans of early-2000s romcoms rejoice! The classic 2003 romance How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is set to get a sequel with lead actor Kate Hudson sitting in the producer’s chair — and maybe even reprising her original role.
Variety reported filmmaking giant Paramount is working on the sequel, with development in its early stages, according to a source close to the project.
While the cast and several creative roles have yet to be filled — including its screenwriter — the report said filmmakers were looking to have Hudson and her co-star Matthew McConaughey reprise their roles.
Stacey Sher will be producing the film alongside Hudson. The experienced producer has credits on several big name titles, such as Pulp Fiction, Erin Brockovich and Django Unchained.
Still in early stages of development, there are no details available on the sequel’s plot, which Variety says is being ironed out.
