Banque Cantonale de Genève (BCGE) posted a net profit of 118.6 million Swiss francs in the first half of 2026. This represents an increase of 26.2 percent compared with the same period last year and, according to the bank’s statement on Tuesday, marks a new record.

Operating profit also rose sharply, climbing 24.7 percent to 138.3 million francs. Operating income increased by 12.3 percent to 310.5 million francs.

The figures mark a significant turnaround from the previous year. In the first half of 2025, net profit had fallen 18.9 percent to 94 million francs, weighed down by margin pressure in the interest business.

The commission business also performed well, with income increasing 11.1 percent to 85 million francs. Trading income likewise rose 11.1 percent to 23 million francs.
