Philippine car sales down 2.5% in July

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine vehicle sales continued to sputter in July despite a slight month-on-month increase, as the industry recorded what it called its strongest month of 2026 so far, though sales remained muted compared with 2025 levels.

On Tuesday, data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association Inc. (TMA) showed that their member companies sold 37,319 vehicles in July, down 2.5 percent from 38,295 units in the same month last year.
