The CNN Money Fear and Greed Index showed almost no change in the overall market sentiment, while the index remained in the “Neutral” zone on Monday.

U.S. stocks settled mixed on Friday, with the Nasdaq Composite falling around 200 points during the session amid a decline in key tech stocks.

Shares of Micron Technology Inc. (NASDAQ:MU) declined 5.8%, while Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD) declined 3.5% on Monday.

All major indices recorded losses last week, with the S&P 500 falling 1.4% and the Nasdaq losing 2% in the period. Both indices ended three-week winning streaks. The Dow also recorded a weekly loss of 0.9%, marking back-to-back weekly losses.

President Donald Trump escalated the trade fight with Ottawa in a Truth Social post, writing that on "January First, 2027, Tariffs on all Cars, Trucks, both large and small, Automotive Parts, and Steel, will be increased to 50%."
