Tamil Nadu Health Minister K.G. Arunraj on Tuesday (August 25, 2026) told the Assembly that the State government was taking steps to distribute Emicizumab to patients with Haemophilia A.Responding to a calling-attention motion moved by M.S. Ravi, who wanted the government to distribute the medicine free of cost to patients, the Minister said Emicizumab was used to treat Haemophilia A patients with Factor VIII inhibitor antibodies.“It has not been included in the National Health Mission (NHM) essential medicines list.
