Nifty 50 is trading lower. It has failed to get a follow-through buying in the early trades today after the bounce seen in the final trading hours on Monday. The index is currently trading at 24,150, down 0.27 per cent. The advances/declines ratio is at 8:42. This is negative.Nifty 50 OutlookFailure to sustain the bounce that was seen on Monday is a negative. That keeps the Nifty vulnerable for a fall to 24,080 during the day. The price action thereafter will need a close watch.A bounce from around 24,080 will give some relief. That can take the Nifty higher to 24,150-24,200 again. But a break below 24,080 can increase the downside pressure and drag the index down to 24,000-23,980.For now, allow for a fall to 24,080 and then watch the price action.Nifty 50 FuturesThe Nifty 50 August Futures (24,157) is down 0.22 per cent. The contract is struggling to get a sustained rise above 24,200.Intraday support is at 24,120. The chances are looking high for the contract to break this support and fall to 24,050.The contract has to get a decisive break above 24,220 in order to get some relief and go up towards 24,300 and higher.Trade StrategyTraders can go short now at 24,157. Add more shorts a rise at 24,190. Keep the stop-loss at 24,230. Trail the stop-loss down to 24,125 as soon as the contract falls to 24,105.
