In August last year, 17-year-old Theo Rae shared a video on Facebook of two boys in the back of a car being driven at speed with police chasing in the background.
It is not clear whether Rae was one of those involved in the incident as faces are obscured, but he wrote in the comments “#didntgetcaught”.
This weekend, Rae was one of five young men who were killed when the Volkswagen Passat they were in collided with a police car while being driven the wrong way down the A66 near Middlesbrough.

The other four pronounced dead at the scene were Cole Robert Worthy, 17, Makai Saddington, 18, and 23-year-olds Michael Robert Cahill and Jacob Matusiak. Police are investigating what role filming inside the car played in the incident.
