Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published data on the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day showing how Ukrainians who found refuge in the country are contributing to its economy.
Ukrinform reports this, citing the Polish Foreign Ministry on X.
According to the published data, the employment rate among Ukrainians in Poland stood at 78% in 2024. The growth in Poland’s GDP in 2024 driven by Ukrainians’ contribution amounted to 2.7%.
“Behind these statistics are real stories of innovation and business development. Ukrainians are not simply finding refuge in Poland – they are actively contributing to the development of the Polish economy,” the Polish Foreign Ministry emphasized.
The ministry separately noted that 966,000 Ukrainians are currently officially employed in Poland. Over the past several years, they have launched more than 100,000 businesses, meaning that one in every ten new businesses in Poland is Ukrainian.
