: Preparations for Eid-Milad-un-Nabi programmes in the city, including the traditional Madh-E-Sahaba procession, were reviewed at a meeting held on Monday at the Islamic Centre of India, Eidgah Lucknow.The procession must follow only the routes approved by the authorities. He appealed to residents to participate enthusiastically in the religious gatherings. He said such events help the younger generation learn about the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the virtues and sacrifices of his Companions (RA).Maulana Farangi Mahali announced that the historic Madh-E-Sahaba procession will start at 9am on Wednesday, August 26, from Aminabad Park. It will pass through the old city and conclude at Eidgah Aishbagh.A large gathering focusing on Seerat-un-Nabi and Seerat-e-Sahaba will also be organised at Eidgah Lucknow. Special prayers will be offered for the peace, harmony, unity, safety and development of the country.He urged participants and organisations to strictly follow the Islamic Centre’s Rabi-ul-Awwal advisory. No slogans that could hurt religious sentiments should be raised. The procession must follow only the routes approved by the authorities. Motorcycle stunts should also be avoided.Participants were asked to maintain unity, peace and law and order while observing the occasion with dignity and respect.Other speakers at the meeting also called upon all organisations to follow the guidance of religious scholars and refrain from any activity that goes against established rules, agreements or official instructions.
