On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded state honors and conferred honorary titles on 289 artists, athletes, educators, scientists, medical professionals, diplomats, military personnel, volunteers, and representatives of other fields.
The corresponding decree No. 755/2026 was published on the President’s website, according to Ukrinform.
The awards include the Orders of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, Princess Olha, and Danylo Halytskyi; the Orders “For Merit” and “For Courage”; the medals “For Impeccable Service,” “For Saving a Life,” “For Labor and Valor,” the Presidential Award “Future of Ukraine,” as well as the honorary titles “People’s Artist of Ukraine,” “People’s Painter of Ukraine,” “Honored Artist of Ukraine,” “Honored Teacher of Ukraine,” “Honored Worker of the Arts of Ukraine,” “Honored Scientist and Engineer of Ukraine,” “Honored Donor of Ukraine,” “Honored Economist of Ukraine,” “Honored Energy Specialist of Ukraine,” “Honored Journalist of Ukraine,” “Honored Physician of Ukraine,” and others.
The document notes that these awards and titles are granted for significant contributions to strengthening Ukrainian statehood, for courage and self-sacrifice demonstrated in defending Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, for substantial personal contributions to the development of various spheres of public life, for upholding the state’s national interests, and for the conscientious fulfillment of professional duties.
