MANILA, Philippines – The Quezon City government is partnering with Agrigaia Tech Co. to establish an urban farming demonstration site at the Quezon City University (QCU), with women set to lead the initiative as part of the city’s efforts to strengthen food security.
The city government and Agrigaia Tech Co. formalized the partnership through a memorandum of agreement signed Monday, with Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte and Agrigaia Tech Co. founder and chief executive officer Vanessa Ying Lin leading the ceremonial signing.
Under the project, women will take the lead in the urban farming sites, while training sessions and seminars will be conducted to equip them with the knowledge needed for farming.
