More than 100 golfers gathered at Kenya Railway Golf Club in Nairobi for a charity tournament supporting children's education, school nutrition and access to learning materials in underserved communities.
Business leaders, corporate partners and philanthropists took part in the Golf for a Brighter Future Charity Tournament, hosted by the Bridge International Academies Foundation under its #NoChildLeftBehind initiative.
The event raised support for school fee subsidies, learning materials and nutrition programmes, including the foundation's #OneCupOneFuture school nutrition campaign. Insurance provider Sanlam Allianz was the event's primary corporate partner.
The foundation operates community schools in 30 of Kenya's 47 counties, serving more than 22,000 pupils daily. Since Bridge International Academies was launched by NewGlobe Schools in 2008, its network has reached more than 1.2 million children.
